Who We Are
NYC3 (New York City Creative Community) was founded in 2012 by two music industry professionals, Sharon Tapper (Pivot Music Group, formerly Kobalt and Razor & Tie Music Publishing) and Linda Lorence Critelli (Rider University, LLC Music, formerly SESAC) in response to a mass exodus of music industry creatives from NYC to LA, Nashville and beyond. What started as a conversation of eight like minded individuals around a conference table with the goal of re-connecting the NYC music community has since grown to exceed three hundred and fifty people. It is a curated group of creative individuals, primarily from the music publishing business, managers, labels, and includes organizations such as ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, GMR, The Recording Academy, AIMP, SONA and MMF. Collectively they have joined forces to develop, revitalize, strengthen, and support the professional music community in the city they love. These concerted efforts support not only the businesses involved, but the core of NYC itself: the artists, songwriters, and producers that make NYC great.
